
Dr Hyde trained and specialised in Cardiology at the highly regarded Bart’s and The London Chest Hospitals. In 2006 he became a Consultant at the Great Western Hospital, Swindon in order to develop the coronary angioplasty service. Whilst his main expertise is treating and diagnosing heart conditions he has significant experience and training in early stage prevention and diagnosis of coronary artery disease amongst those with risk factors but no symptoms. Primarily his focus is in the area of heart screening using CTCA scanning. He has achieved level 2 certification in cardiac CT. He trained in cardiac CT at Harefield Hospital. He also participated in an educational exchange programme to Los Angeles at UCLA, CVMG and Cedars Sinai Hospital, where expert cardiologists routinely use CTCA scans to guide coronary prevention in well patients with risk factors. He offers a similar bespoke service here in the Cotswolds.

Dr Beale is based at the Great Western Hospital and has a long and extensive experience in cardiac CT. As a Consultant Cardiothoracic Radiologist, he instigated the service 9 years ago and he and his team of expert radiographers now perform over 1000 cardiac CT scans a year. His team have a high degree of technical success achieved with a low X ray dose. He is highly acclaimed in his field, is Level III accredited (the highest), and has both published and lectured on Cardiac CT imaging. He has also held the post of National Clinical Lead for NHS radiology service improvement and was on the council for the Royal College of Radiologists.
